Oscar’s one-liners hidden in his plays are some of my favourites. In fact, one of them is my favourite quote of all time.

We once drove to Chichester for the day to see Patricia Routledge playing the role of Lady Bracknell in a revival of Oscar Wilde’s comedy The Importance of Being Earnest. I think Tim McInnerny also appeared. It was a long day by the time we got home.
