I walk to Oxford Street and climb on the number 8. It’s freezing and it starts to rain and it’s the ugliest bus I’ve ever seen, rattling down the ugliest streets, in the ugliest city, in the ugliest country, in the ugliest of all possible worlds.

David Thewlis (b.1963), The Late Hector Kipling
Was this quote from a role he was playing? (I just checked, and it’s from a novel he wrote) I think it’s a very harsh judgement on a great city, but it might make more sense if I read the book.
Cheers, Pete.

I didn’t know he wrote a book, I only know him as an actor
