Well that’s a perfect description, but then I would have expected nothing less!
Best wishes, Pete.

Sauf is allowable, shows your open mindedness.
May I ask for some advice please?
I will be in London in a week or so, hope to take the train to Salisbury, then cab to East Knoyle, walk about there for an hour or so, cab back to Salsb. I hope, assume optimistically, that a cab at the station may be willing? Any advice on request, tip, etc? Thank you. MP

Hi Mark
With that sort of job I’d advise booking in advance and to get a price.
Call these if you like when arriving at Blighty :
Taxis are also available from Salisbury train station and from the taxi rank on New Canal.

Most taxi companies now take payment by card, if you don’t want to carry cash. And you can usually add the tip on the machine. It is usual to ’round-up’ so if a fare was say, £25, I would add £5 to make it £30. Enjoy Salisbury and East Knoyle. Regards, Pete.

Thank you, Pete. Good info.
This trip will be the last leg of my forty year pilgramage off and on to see everything related to the life and times of Sir Chr Wren…who knows why we get to have such adventures. Lucky us.
Kind regards, Mark
