London in Quotations: Sophie Kinsella

Commuting in London is basically warfare. It’s a constant campaign of claiming territory; inching forward; never relaxing for a moment. Because if you do, someone will step past you. Or step on you.

  1. A bit over-dramatic I reckon. I never had much problem on the numbers 29, 24, and 88 buses when I was commuting from Camden. She might be talking more about the tube of course, which I rarely used, and tried to avoid. Maybe she should have used a black cab more often? 🙂
    Cheers, Pete.
