In my opinion . . .

Living in London is like being an inmate of a reformatory school. Everywhere you turn you run into some regulation designed for your own protection. The Government is like the School Matron with her keys jangling at her waist. She orders you about, good-humouredly enough, but all the same, in no uncertain terms.

This is a rapidly unfolding story with intrigue, an enjoyable romp around London, several quirky but endearing characters, and some slightly scary technology ripped from the daily news. It is a great read, with London history and sights for us distant London fans. It also offers insights for those of us fascinated by the London taxi cab culture. I was left eager for more.
